thinking of quitting

I've been thinking about this blog. The pros and cons.
I haven't posted in ages. I rarely get access to a camera, and I really have no time for crafting at the moment let alone documenting it. It's quite depressing really. Everyone knows that blogs are infinitely better with pictures just like personal ads with pictures get more responses.

People can all too easily google my name and hey presto they're here. Quite embarrassing really. I don't want people reading about my embarrassing yarn binges unless they actually don't know me and therefore can't hold it against me.

I was thinking of the hassle in starting a new blog in the new year under a pseudonym as I'm just getting fed up with google spilling out my name and this blog. I'm no Jane Jones either so my name is unique and that unfortunately means that this blog is thus directly related to me, not someone else who happens to have the same name in Australia or Texas or Fiji or wherever. But then there's the hassle of trying to cultivate some publicity for it to get read by more than just yourself (albeit without getting read by your best friends). And although I'm far from generating a living from the hits this blog gets I get a few trusty visitors, which is nice.

In part I know it's Flickr's fault as the piece of code associated with putting my photos here have also included my full name. Even though I have subsequently changed my Flickr account to try and remove all traces of my full name this seems to not have done the trick.

So hey... I might post in the new year. I might not. I am just giving it a rest at the moment so check back in a month or so.
